Dr. Miriam Holtzman is a New York based licensed psychologist. She has extensive training in evidence-based, behavioral and cognitive-behavioral treatments for a wide variety of concerns in children, adolescents, and adults. She has specialty training in the treatment of BFRBs as well as OCD, Anxiety disorders and sleep difficulties. Dr. Holtzman maintains a CBT-based practice and specializes in exposure therapy. She is very passionate about treating those struggling with BFRBs by using ComB Model and HRT methods. Dr. Holtzman enjoys collaborating with each client to create a customized plan for the individual. Dr. Holtzman not only strives to help clients learn how to manage their symptoms independently, but also uses techniques to help enhance individuals’ overall well-being and quality of life.
Training & Education:
Dr. Miriam Holtzman is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctorate of psychology from St. John’s University. She has trained and worked in a wide range of clinical settings, including hospital, intensive outpatient, school, community clinic and private practice settings. Dr. Holtzman completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Northwell Health’s OCD and Bipolar Centers. In addition to her professional membership with the TLC Foundation for BFRBs, Dr. Holtzman is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) and International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
