I am a clinical social worker and poetry therapist with a full time private practice while simultaneously working as a clinician at trichstop.com and skinpick.com. I am dedicated to helping those with body-focused repetitive behaviors such as hair pulling and twirling, skin picking, lip and cheek biting, nail biting. I also work closely and address possible co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, and attention deficit and/or hyperactive disorders. I am uniquely qualified as I have personal experience with BFRBs. I have also graduated from the TLC Professional Training Institute, participated in TLC's Early Clinician Award program, have been interviewed by Self magazine on BFRBs, and developed the fidget called Sensory Strands. I have also presented on the topic of BFRB?s and lead numerous workshops to both clients, students, and clinicians. I work with all ages! I welcome adults, adolescents, children, and/or their parents. Together we will develop individualized treatment to meet your needs. Some treatments to expect may include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, habit reversal training, comprehensive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and strength-based perspectives. Please feel free to call or email to see if we are the right fit and I'm looking forward to working with you on this road to recovery.
