Research Update on Skin Picking Disorder - Webinar - 2015

This webinar attempts to address the 5 'W's for SPD, with a focus on the past year of research. First, an overview of what we know about SPD will be given: who has it, what is SPD from a clinical perspective, when was it recognized as a disorder / in the historical literature. It will go on to discuss the current state of research in skin picking disorder, including an overview of the research conducted / published over the past year. Specifically, the webinar will strive to help participants understand why we use different types of brain imaging (i.e., MRI, fMRI, DTI, etc), what these techniques mean, and where in the brain the current research has focused.
